Heber residents walking the Red Ledges Center Street and Humbug trails now have four new places to dispose of dog waste.
Installed by the Community Alliance for Main Street, the stations aim to keep the popular paved paths cleaner for walkers, cyclists and dog owners.
The project received $2,900 from the Wasatch County TAP Tax and a $1,000 grant from the Utah Division of Water Quality.
The alliance also plans to add seven stations in Heber City parks, but their locations depend on a City Council decision about the city’s dog policy.
