Jordanelle Ridge brings back free Pumpkin Patch in Heber City

Jordanelle Ridge’s second annual free Pumpkin Patch was scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Jordanelle Ridge Barn in Heber City.

The community event was planned for noon to 4 p.m. at 2013 Coyote Canyon Parkway, with no admission fee or registration required.

Organizers announced pumpkin painting, pumpkin bowling and pumpkin ring toss, along with pretzels and apple cider.

The invitation was open to everyone, not just Jordanelle Ridge residents.

Cody Winterton, division president of developer Raintree Investment Corporation, described the gathering as a chance for families and neighbors to connect as the community grows.

Near Jordanelle Reservoir, the Barn serves as a gathering place, and its café and deli are open to the public.

Organizers did not say whether pumpkins or refreshments would be available throughout the event.

Heber adds dog waste stations along Red Ledges, Humbug trails

Heber residents walking the Red Ledges Center Street and Humbug trails now have four new places to dispose of dog waste.

Installed by the Community Alliance for Main Street, the stations aim to keep the popular paved paths cleaner for walkers, cyclists and dog owners.

The project received $2,900 from the Wasatch County TAP Tax and a $1,000 grant from the Utah Division of Water Quality.

The alliance also plans to add seven stations in Heber City parks, but their locations depend on a City Council decision about the city’s dog policy.

For now, the new trail stations offer a simple way for dog owners to help keep shared paths clean.
